This show generally revolves around an overly ambitious Democratic Congressman Frank Underwood and his witty and powerful wife Claire Underwood, who together cross all the boundaries in sake to attain control of the most powerful nation of the world. There are many more characters involved like Douglas Stamper, who stay with the Underwood’s till eternity and many like Tom Hammerschmidt who devote their lives to upstage them.

The show helps us understand the lonely and difficult paths that one has to pass by if we are not following the correct means. The plots keep on changing every season but the main plot of the whole series in only one, the hunger of power and the limits that one can cross in order to attain it.
