Douglas Stamper is the backbone of the Netflix original series. A man who can do anything for his Superior and only friend, Frank Underwood. Even after Frank's death in the final season, Doug does his best to save him from any allegations that would have hampered his reputation. He is the perfect loyalist and takes any accusation over Frank on himself and falsely admits being guilty. Stamper is born in Naperville and his family soon after shifts to Ohio.
Michael Kell has given one of the best performances of his life in this thriller and has earned a lot of respect and applause. He has also been a part of a band and now lives and works out of New York.
Doug's characters strongest positive is his will power to achieve the impossible. He is an alcoholic before but after Frank's small symbol of respect to him, he leaves drinking and completely devotes his life for his service.
